The position will be at Morecambe Dental Education Centre 2 days per week (Monday and Tuesday) plus 1 day at Preston campus (Wednesday), where you will work alongside other dental colleagues to provide clinical supervision for undergraduate students undertaking BDS and BSc Dental Therapy programmes. The teaching within the two programmes is highly integrated and the School operates primarily within a primary care framework. In addition to clinical supervision, duties will include engaging in wider teaching and assessment of undergraduate students and contributing to course administration. This is a fixed term contract to cover parental leave for 6 months, or until the return of the substantive postholder. The successful candidate will have substantial experience of working as a Dental Therapist in a Primary Care setting, along with experience in clinical training and supervision of the dental team. You should hold a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy, or a Degree in Oral Sciences or Dental Hygiene and Therapy. An active networker, with excellent clinical and communication skills, you will have the ability to work well within a team and will be IT literate in the use of standard Microsoft packages.
