Job overview
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Clinical Fellow to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain greater Haematology knowledge and experience. The clinical fellow will work alongside the SpR to support seven consultant haematologists delivering haematological services to patients at Torbay.
Main duties of the job
It is expected that the individual will support clinics and the day unit and develop chemotherapy prescribing skills (if not already competent). They will support the department to develop clinical research activity. The post holder will be expected to support the teaching and training of the South West peninsula medical students.

The Trust delivers non-surgical cancer services across Torbay and Newton Abbot Hospitals, providing acute care in inpatient, day-case and outpatient settings for patients living with and beyond their cancer diagnosis.

Qualifications
* MBBS
* Full registration (and with a licence to practice) with the General Medical Council (GMC)
* MRCP (or equivalent training and experience)
Clinical Experience
* Completed core medical training
* Previous SACT prescribing
Management & Administrative Experience
* Active interest in IT
* Experience of audit
Teaching/Research Experience
* Interest in research
* Experience of teaching clinical skills to undergraduates and postgraduates
* GCP training or experience of clinical trial work
* Postgraduate teaching qualification
Personal Attributes
* Honesty and reliability
* Willingness to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, observing National, Trust and Departmental guidelines
