GENERAL DESCRIPTION Ensure independent processing of replacement, upgrade, overhaul and repair orders of train doors and mechanisms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Flexibility to attend customer premises for the repair, overhaul and upgrade of systems relating to core portfolio.
Conduct training, instruction and application of work process for the above at the customer site.
Analyse malfunctions, suggest corrective measures and undertake related activity according to work instructions.
Carrying out the work, troubleshooting and integration of existing systems, the implementation of preventative measures, the technical assessment of warranties as well as the suggestion of remedial measures in the event of malfunctions, etc.
?Independent processing of replacement and repair orders in conjunction with the administrative team.
?Prepare work reports as well as documentation of assembly process and progress.
?Provide technical support and execute agreed services from service contracts.
?Identification and repair of assembly and functional defects on a wide variety of assemblies.
Documentation of errors and damages.
Recording of defective components, time spent and feedback of production orders for further order processing to the customer.
Timely and accurate processing of other documentation (check / inspection sheets, timesheets, experience logs, return to work forms, medication check forms, etc.).
Complete mechanical, pneumatic and electrical assembly of complex assemblies according to drawings, parts list and work instructions.
Arrange for material procurement.
Review & amend work instructions for on-site contractors.
Renewing / revising customer (maintenance) documentation.
Adherence to the working directive evidenced by the accurate recording of staff hours.
Excellent conduct at all times.
To be a professional representative for the company at all times.
Flexibility in working where additional time (early morning, late evening, nights), weekends may need to be worked to complete the job/work.
Flexibility in traveling and staying out away from home.
Adherence to all Group policies and procedures.
Effective communication at all levels.
Issues to be recorded and effectively relayed to the team.
To continually explore ways to improve work in all aspects.
Accurate recording of work completed outside of contracted scope, in respect of time and material used, to reflect additional works in final invoice and thereby cover the additional cost to the business.
Close liaison with the team to ensure material and process accuracy and technical support as required.
To adopt and promote safe working practices
- ensuring all work is completed in accordance with process instructed by procedure, risk assessment and COSHH, and that any identified process is adhered to and that the associated PPE is worn at all times.
Identify and communicate areas for further training and development.
