Business Development Manager - Water Hygiene Specialist
Reddbrick are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join an established team. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future business by bringing in new clients, driving revenue growth, and positioning our clients' water hygiene services as a market leader.
Role Overview:
As the Business Development Manager for Water Hygiene Services, you will be responsible for identifying and capitalising on business opportunities within the water hygiene and compliance sector. You will play a key role in developing new relationships, nurturing existing client accounts, and achieving revenue targets. This is a client-facing, results-driven role that requires a mix of technical knowledge, strong sales expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify New Business Opportunities: Generate and qualify leads, prospect potential clients, and develop strategies to target key markets in water hygiene services, including healthcare, industrial, and commercial sectors.
2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring their water hygiene needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services.
3. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
4. Consultative Selling: Provide expert advice on water hygiene services, including Legionella risk assessments, water treatment, and water system maintenance. Customise solutions to meet client-specific requirements.
5. Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify business development opportunities. Use this data to drive innovation and differentiate our service offerings.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, technical, and compliance teams to ensure client needs are met and services are delivered on time and to high standards.
7. Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, revenue forecasts, and client interactions. Report regularly on progress toward targets.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience in business development or sales management within the water hygiene, facilities management, or environmental services sectors.
2. Strong understanding of water hygiene regulations (e.g., Legionella, HTM 04-01) and the ability to communicate technical aspects of water treatment and risk management.
3. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and close deals.
4. Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing business in a competitive market.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tailor solutions to the needs of clients.
6. Full UK driving license (or regional driving requirement) for travel to client sites.
