The person: A Finance Assistant / Accounts Assistant who enjoys working in a varied and interesting role working closely with the Finance Manager and wider business. The role: Opportunity for an Accounts Assistant with previous all-round accounts experience to work closely with the Finance Manager supporting a range of accounting / month end support to the business. As Accounts Assistant, you will undertake a wide range of responsibilities spanning: • Posting sales / purchase invoices, expediting overdue debtors • Reconciling the general ledger • Act as point of contact for all supplier queries and organising payment of supplier invoices • VAT / reconciliations • Supporting customs queries • Monthly Import and Export accounts reconciled • Support balance sheet reconciliation • Working closely with the Finance Manager to support monthly reporting and management accounts preparation. Closing Accounts receivables / accounts payable ledgers • Dealing with year-end audit queries and intercompany transactions Setting up new customers and suppliers on the finance system The role will suit someone with 2-4 years minimum accounts experience within a fast-paced varied accounts role. Experience of finance modules within an MRP/ ERP/ SAP would be highly advantageous You may be AAT level 3 qualified or qualified by experience or with alternative accounting qualifications but with the ability to be able to pick things up quickly after hand-over and can support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc process improvements.
