WORKING PATTERN : Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

The Modern Workplace Platform is pivotal to accelerating the Group’s transformation agenda & adoption of cloud native capabilities. Joining a diverse and passionate team, Colleague Messaging and Surveillance engineering within our Technology function deliver and support communication tools to allow our colleagues to interact with each other quickly and be productive through various ways, on a number of devices.
Our team is based across the UK and the technology is predominately using Microsoft cloud-based services delivering excellence by way of improving colleague productivity and thus ensuring IT helps not hinders what matters when helping Britain recover.
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative colleague who is ready to support a new and ambitious service, keen to experience a sense of progress and find new ways to stretch and develop. You’ll support the detailed technical assessment and business understanding of changes being deployed within Colleague Messaging and Surveillance, ensuring that decisions accurately balance business needs with technical requirements, supplier performance and risk considerations. Championing the alignment of processes to automation and evergreen principles being introduced as we bring to bear more cloud-based services working with the wider team to embrace the opportunities presented by the new technology of the modern workspace and leverage them to continually improve the service.

What you’ll need
Alongside technical expertise, you’ll care about colleagues, be capable of supporting positive relationships across Platforms and ready to take ownership of problems through to solution. This is critically important as we embed an “Evergreen” model where a continual stream of transformation cycles will be the norm. This could be evident in your experience through working with Service and Change partners in taking hold of issues as well as being open to new ways of working.
You’ll have knowledge of software lifecycles, software maintenance and understand its importance with expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows 11, Exchange 365), communication-based technologies and Software as a Service implementations using cloud architecture and you’ll be able to demonstrate a breadth of strong experience across the following technologies:
1. Microsoft Exchange, both on premise and in the 365 cloud
2. Email Encryption technologies, for example Microsoft Purview.
3. Internet Email routing and security, solutions such as Cisco IronPort, DKIM/SPF/DMARC/SMTP DANE/DNSSEC
4. Email Archiving and Journaling applications.
5. Electronic and Voice surveillance SaaS software, e.g. Veritas ALTA
6. Electronic Fax Solutions.
