We are looking for a motivated person with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working within a customer-focused environment. Knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.
You will be required to undertake a wide variety of administration duties including arranging Radiology and Phlebotomy appointments and reception work. You will also have to work to deadlines whilst maintaining data accuracy in a pressurized environment.
A portion of this job will be at the new Halifax CDC at Broad Street Plaza. This will involve some evening and weekend working.
You should have excellent communication skills, together with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. An excellent telephone manner and attention to detail are essential, along with the awareness for strict confidentiality at all times.
Working as part of the Radiology Administration team, the post holder will be required to provide efficient clerical support to the Radiology Department including community sites.
To work as part of a team providing a high-quality service to patients, visitors, and colleagues within the Radiology Department.
To be the first contact at the Radiology reception desk and on the telephone for all service users. Book patients’ appointments for diagnostic purposes in line with the office booking rules and using the electronic diary. Be flexible and rotate between tasks and sites.
