Experienced Mental Health Support Worker
Pay rate: £14.50 per hour days & £15.23 per hour nights
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts available between hours of 8:00am - 20:00pm and 20:00pm - 8:00am waking nights.
Requirements: MUST have a full UK driver's license. MUST have Mental health and Autism experience.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis; you must currently be based in/around the Fowey area and able to commute.
We have a rewarding opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in Fowey. This individual has Autism, mental health issues, and paranoid schizophrenia, and follows their own strict routine. We are currently supporting them in hospital and will be supporting them back into their own property. This individual enjoys motorbikes, going out on their mountain bike, surfing, and being outdoors.

Key Responsibilities
1. Support with all facets of daily living.
2. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
3. Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
4. Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
5. Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
6. Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
7. Aid with light household chores, which may include cooking and cleaning.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Full UK driver's license.
2. Experience with mental health issues, including paranoid schizophrenia, in a hospital/ward/unit setting.
3. Experience with Autism.
4. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
5. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
6. Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
8. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
9. Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
