An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Control System Engineer – Electrical Bias to join a forward-thinking Company. In this role, you will play an Ambassadorial role for the company, with recognised technical expertise. You will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks including replacement, upgrades or additional works for all supplied systems.
Commissions and services pneumatic conveying equipment and provides technical support to customers and in-house engineering/project teams. Designs system controls and assists in project execution.
Tasks:
1. Co-ordinates and carries out equipment start-ups and technical service calls and related activity (reports etc.)
2. Designs customer specific control systems (pneumatic and electric) including writing Bills of Materials and PLC programs.
3. Participates and carries out equipment and application testing.
4. Provides trouble-shooting and technical support to customers and in-house engineering/project teams.
5. Participates in project execution by specifying parts and communicating with suppliers.
6. Communicates with customers concerning their controls requirements.
7. Prepares site visit reports and other reports and maintains and up-dates in-house databases.
8. Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Skills:
1. Basic mechanical skills and general interest in mechanical systems and solving mechanical problems.
2. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
3. Familiarity with electrical and pneumatic circuits.
4. Familiarity with PLC programming (Siemens or Allen Bradley) a plus. Training provided.
5. Ability to read AutoCAD drawings related to the duties.
