The Role
Supervise an administrative team of secretaries and administrative clerks and provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling them to operate effectively and efficiently. Ensure the work of the administrative team is carried out in accordance with NHS Lanarkshire’s standard operating procedures.

What we'll need you to bring
* SVQ level 3 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience as a medical secretary
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of medical terminology
* Evidence of effective team working and dealing with change
* Evidence of good communication skills with patients, clinicians, and colleagues.
* Advanced audio typing skills
* Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
* Excellent organisational skills
* Proven ability to work under pressure
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
* Relevant secretarial experience in an equivalent position
* Demonstrable supervisory / mentorship experience in an equivalent position
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and Database Systems
* Knowledge & understanding of Mental Health Act

Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in the Older Adult Community Mental Health Team within Udston Hospital.
The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
