3. Start Date: March 2025
4. Salary: £83-£115 per day
5. Contract: Long-term
6. Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am-3:45pm)
7. Training: Excellent education and training provided
8. Transport: Local to station, car park available
This is a large, vibrant, and happy primary school located in Havering, London with a positive approach to learning and behaviour. They are located within walking distance of 3 tube stations and have a number of bus routes that stop directly outside of the school, making this school extremely accessible via public transport.
For this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will be required to provide day-to-day support, delivering 1:1 and small group sessions as well as helping to plan lessons by preparing resources and materials. You will be required to work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to provide a happy and fun environment for your key child to learn and enjoy attending school.
The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
1. You must have experience of working within a primary school.
2. You must have recent SEN Teaching Assistant experience.
3. You must have experience using either Makaton, PECS, or Colourful Semantics.
4. You must have experience working with children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Global Delay, Speech & Language Difficulties, Complex Needs/ Challenging Behaviour, SEMH, EBD, MLD, ADHD, or Asperger's.
5. You must be open to working with children in EYFS, KS1, or KS2 (depending on your preference).
