Housekeeper - General and Colorectal Surgery

Ward F12 Contract type and hours: 37.5hrs per week, long days. Will include weekend working.
We are looking for an individual who can contribute to the team, someone with a can-do attitude, who is cheerful and willing to go the extra mile to make the patient and customers' experience the best it can be.
The successful applicant will be responsible, reliable, and understand what good customer service is, while maintaining good health and safety standards. They must be able to cope with pressure and work to strict time frames.

Main Duties of the Job
The individual will support the ward by serving meals and drinks to patients in a busy ward environment throughout the day and assisting staff in monitoring nutrition and hydration. The responsibilities include cleaning and monitoring kitchen areas on the ward, ensuring fridge temperatures are taken and recorded accurately, and supporting ward staff to maintain patient safety, including stock ordering and replenishment.

Qualifications
* Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (GCSE English and Maths Grade D-G)
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Awareness of food hygiene and handling policies
* Highly self-motivated
* Experience in ordering meals and liaising with kitchens
* Experience in a healthcare setting
Skills & Abilities
* Good organisational skills and able to work independently and within a team
