Job title: EYFS and KS1 SEN Unit Class Teacher (for children with ASC)
Grade: UPS + 1st SEN allowance
Location: L30
Contract: Part time with potential for full time
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils, with an EHCP and a diagnoses of autism.
* Work with children with additional SEND needs, including autism, to support their educational development.
* Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes equality and diversity.
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure pupils' individual needs are met.
* Provide intimate care as needed to support children's well-being and development.
* Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and implementing interventions where necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of pupils' development and communicate with stakeholders.
* Uphold school policies and practices in line with safeguarding regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Evidence of professional development relevant to SEND, early years and Key Stage One.
* A minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a SEN Unit Class (Preferable).
* Experience working with children with additional SEND needs, particularly autism
