Description
As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing audit engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with professional standards. This role provides a clear pathway for career progression, offering opportunities for growth and development into senior leadership positions. The successful candidate will independently lead audit engagements on-site while collaborating closely with senior leadership to maintain and enhance audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Taking responsibility for audits from planning to completion across a range of owner-managed businesses, from small to large companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
2. Planning, executing, and finalising audits, identifying key risk areas, and ensuring audit objectives are met.
3. Take a leadership role in meetings with clients throughout all stages of the audit process, escalating/reporting back when needed to the audit manager/audit RI.
4. Managing and developing junior team members to develop their technical abilities, soft skills, and client interaction.
5. Managing and improving audit processes to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Qualified Accountant: ACA/ ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
2. Leading Audits: Experience in leading audits, with the ability to make decisions and report back to manager when needed.
3. Audit Practice Experience: Strong background in audit and understanding of regulatory obligations and quality standards.
4. Risk Assessment: Experience in identifying and assessing risks, implementing effective controls, and maintaining audit quality.
5. Client Management: Strong client relationship management skills, able to build and maintain long-term relationships.
6. Coaching and Mentoring: Experience in coaching and mentoring audit teams, enhancing both their technical and soft skills.
