Stores Manager
Manufacturing Environment (West Hull)
Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Stores Manager ideally from a Manufacturing or Engineering background to join our clients team. You will oversee the stores service supporting business operations across a 5-day, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, store, issue, and record parts, equipment, materials, and supplies.
Develop systems and processes for effective stock management and cost control.
Monitor supplier stock and performance.
Ensure timely unloading and checking of incoming goods.
Maintain orderly and safe stock storage.
Issue stock based on requisitions and manage system transactions.
Prepare systems for shipment.
Organize and assist with stock-check processes and record maintenance.
Keep stores areas safe, clean, and orderly.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback.
Support daily store operations.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Main Purpose:
Manage inventory levels to support production schedules.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize store operations.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Good computer literacy.
Strong knowledge of stores procedures and methods.
Problem-solving capabilities.
Positive, proactive attitude; flexible and enthusiastic.
Experience in a supervisory role.
