We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Technician to join our team at Tennant UK. This role requires a proactive individual who can provide exceptional communication, hands-on service and technical support to our valued customers. You will be the face of Tennant UK in the field, promoting our company’s reputation through high-quality service and support. Working across West Midlands and surrounding areas.
It is a varied role and no two days are the same. Paid as soon as you step outside your front door until you return at the end of your shift. You will mostly be lone working, but there is a team around you to offer help and support. The role comes with a company vehicle, fuel card, specialised tools, overtime rates, an annual bonus, applause awards and 33 days annual leave inc. bank holidays, access to Medicash benefit and company sick pay.
We will provide you with a laptop, mobile phone, uniform and PPE so you are set up to succeed. There is weekend work on a rota and on-call basis.
Duties
* Conduct maintenance, repairs of equipment on-site also installation and training as required.
* Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on customer equipment to ensure optimal performance.
* Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, van stock and customer interactions.
* Collaborate with the engineering team to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all service activities.
* Clear communication with both customers and service team.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar role is advantageous.
* Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic systems.
* Basic IT skills, Microsoft Office, Outlook and parts manuals.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
* Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
* A valid driver's licence is required for travel to client sites.

Salary £30,000 - £32,000 DOE per annum for 42.5hrs per week plus potential to earn bonus. Earnings can increase significantly with overtime rates and bonus.
