Area Sales Manager
Midlands
1st Year OTE - £47,500+ (made up of basic salary + commission, uncapped) + company car. We’re looking for a superstar to take on an amazing opportunity in a fantastic business with a great culture!
The role is for an Area Sales Manager to cover the Midlands and North Wales. It involves customer relationship management and business development in a region that already brings in a good amount of business.
The person currently looking after the area is moving into another position within the business, so there will also be a good handover of customers. All you need to be successful is a great attitude and excellent relationship-building skills, as there is already a thriving business area there to take hold of with a high level of income and repeat business. The company we are hiring for has been in business for over 30 years and designs, manufactures, supplies, and installs goods for use in the quarrying, recycling, and mining sectors.
They have an outstanding reputation in their industry, have an enviable track record of delivering, and their customer focus and service levels are second to none. The majority of the time you will be on the road, visiting customer sites, maintaining and building relationships, taking measurements etc., with some administration days in the office in Rugby.
Area Sales Manager – Role Overview:
1. Conduct face-to-face customer visits to maintain ongoing relationships.
2. Acquire and develop new customers.
3. Curate, maintain, and grow existing customer relationships.
4. Build a knowledge base of the industry (quarrying specifically), with regards to company products.
5. Generate sales that will offer potential continuous relationships.
6. Ensure the most effective product solutions are provided to customers.
7. Measure up on-site for the supply of materials.
8. Diary management.
9. Customer data management.
10. Follow up on quotes provided and materials supplied.
11. General customer liaison and gathering of feedback.
Area Sales Manager – Candidate Requirements:
To be successful in the Area Sales Manager role you will need to possess the motivation, aptitude, and ability to make the most of this fantastic role.
You will need to be able to manage, build, and maintain excellent customer relationships while building sales and pipelines, managing your own diary. We are looking for the knowledge and experience of the following:
1. Practical know-how (e.g. measuring, sketch drawing).
2. Exceptional customer service ability.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Effective time management skills.
5. Strong attention to detail.
6. Good IT Skills in MS Office, Outlook, and Mobile technology.
7. Good team working ability.
8. Motivation, drive, and ambition to build relationships and achieve sales targets.
9. Understanding and experience of selling equipment into the quarrying or similar industries is preferred, but not essential. A similar background would be selling repeat order components into any processing industry.
