Introduction
Our client, a Local Authority based in the North West, are seeking a Planning Officer to join their Development Management team on a contract basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the planning and development process within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Requirements
1. Significant experience in Development Management and Town Planning.
2. Strong knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.
3. Ability to review and assess planning applications.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Key Responsibilities
7. Review and assess planning applications, providing recommendations.
8. Conduct site visits and prepare reports.
9. Ensure compliance with planning policies, regulations, and guidelines.
10. Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve planning-related issues.
11. Provide advice and guidance to external parties on planning matters.
12. Contribute to the development and implementation of planning strategies.
13. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
£30-35 per hour
3 month initial contract (scope to extend)
