This post is an exciting opportunity to join the emotional health & resilience team (EHRT) in County Durham, supporting children and young people with mental health & emotional wellbeing difficulties. The candidate will work as part of the Countywide team predominantly within the South Locality in County Durham (Sedgefield & Durham Dales), delivering the service to Children Young People & Families (CYP& F)
The EHRT are integrated within the 0-25 Family Health Service providing advice, consultation, training and professional support for staff in the children's workforce to enable them to address, in the most effective way, the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of children and young people.

Main duties of the job
You will
* Work with CYP& F to develop strategies to ensure the emotional and wellbeing needs of the whole school population are identified and prioritised through resilience and health education programmes.
* Facilitate effective collaboration between all relevant agencies and services to identify and implement the best approach to meet the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of children and young people.
* Be professionally accountable and responsible for the direct care of children and young people, including assessment and provision of time-limited therapeutic interventions, in schools, family homes and community settings. Promoting at all times a positive image of children and young people with emotional and mental health needs.

* Current professional registration with appropriate body in healthcare
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
* Certificate in teaching & assessing or mentorship as appropriate to own profession

* Leadership or management qualification
* Recognised training in Facilitation of Parenting Groups.
* Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area
* Degree/diploma in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
* Clinical supervision facilitation training

* Significant experience working with children and young people with mental health and emotional needs in a healthcare, education or community setting.
