The opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Case Manager to join the Claims Management function on a permanent basis. The Senior Case Manager is a highly experienced and adaptable professional responsible for managing a caseload of complex and highly complex claims. With a deep understanding of case management principles and best practices, they ensure efficient and effective resolution of cases while maintaining a client-centered approach. As a senior member of the team they are expected to work closely with the Team Leaders and other department members to ensure the highest possible standard of claims settlement and claims cost containment What you’ll be doing: Triaging new claims to include the setting of initial reserves and providing guidance on early case strategy and the appropriate pathway for future management i.e. settlement or investigation. Acting as a technical expert within the team, reviewing and dealing with complex, contentious and sensitive issues Assisting in examining trends/potential issues/risk alerts Identifying and addressing development needs, providing guidance, one to one training, coaching and mentoring team members and secondees. Working with the Team Leader to implement and direct the strategy and improvement plans Acting as member liaison Acting as main referral point for queries What you’ll bring: Experience of handling complex and highly complex personal injury/clinical negligence claims to a successful conclusion and experience of successfully managing a complex caseload while successfully achieving set targets Personal injury or clinical negligence claims handling experience or equivalent knowledge and skills or post graduate qualification Knowledge of current law and statuses Ability to work as a team member and collaboratively with other teams Exceptional customer focus and awareness Ability to focus on continuous service improvement and innovation Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent written and oral communication skills Highly developed negotiation skills with the ability to be authoritative and persuasive Outstanding interpersonal, skills requiring diplomacy and professionalism Ability to manage several priorities at the same time Ability to work under pressure and to tight and immovable deadlines Ability to coach, mentor and develop others To apply please provide us with your CV listing detailed work history and job responsibilities.
