An expanding business that prides itself on investing in talent and developing its staff is looking for someone to join their procurement department as a purchasing assistant.
This is an exciting and challenging role in a fast-paced environment and would suit someone who has some experience working in a purchasing/procurement department and is looking for a role that will provide development and career progression.
Responsibilities:
* Build and manage supplier relationships with excellent communication.
* Assist with supplier negotiations.
* Place purchase orders with suppliers and track them to ensure goods and services are delivered in a timely manner.
* Responsible for the day-to-day management of various procurement databases (delivery notes, supplier details, etc.).
* Prepare cost analysis on various procurement areas.
* Assist accounts in processing and posting invoices.
* Research new products in the marketplace to help the business with new areas.
