Job Description:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Geography Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in Newcastle. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and be committed to helping students achieve their best in Geography. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and contribute to students' understanding of the world around them.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Geography lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
* Foster a positive learning environment and promote high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
* Assess, track, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
* Encourage students' curiosity about the world, helping them develop analytical and critical-thinking skills.
* Collaborate with other faculty members to create a cohesive learning environment and support curriculum development.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A degree in Geography or a related subject.
* Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level, preferably within the UK.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students.
* Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one).
