Planning Associate (1-4 PQE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Associate to join a dynamic and internationally recognised law firm located in the City of London. This firm is renowned for its commitment to providing exceptional legal services and has a strong reputation in the planning sector, advising a diverse client base on a variety of high-profile projects.
We are seeking a solicitor with 1-4 years PQE in planning law. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of UK planning legislation and experience advising clients on a wide range of planning issues, including development control, environmental assessments, and planning appeals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on planning matters related to development projects, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure schemes.
- Drafting and reviewing planning applications, planning obligations, and associated legal documents.
- Assisting with planning appeals and inquiries, providing comprehensive legal support throughout the process.
- Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Keeping up to date with relevant planning legislation and policy changes, providing strategic advice to clients.
Requirements:
- 1-4 years PQE in planning law, with experience in development and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and relevant case law.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships effectively and provide practical, business-focused legal advice.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work well within a team and across departments.
