Why you should apply: Competitive salary up to £40,000 Work on pioneering aerospace and research development products Career progression and skills development opportunities Join a collaborative and forward-thinking engineering team Assembly & Test Technician Duties: Assembling precision R&D products and certified flight hardware Performing advanced testing (functional, electrical, vibration, shock, thermal vacuum (TVAC), RF) Writing and developing Manufacturing Assembly Procedures (MAPs) and Test Procedures Inspecting machined parts using precision metrology equipment Identifying and implementing process improvements for better efficiency and quality Participating in internal and customer milestone reviews Visiting suppliers/subcontractors to ensure quality compliance (as required) What we’re looking for: Essential skills and experience: Strong background in precision assembly of high-value components Skilled in using precision metrology equipment Experience in functional, electrical bonding, isolation, vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum testing Ability to interpret technical engineering drawings and specifications Proficient with Microsoft Office tools Proven ability to write and implement test and assembly procedures Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach Flexible attitude towards working hours (overtime/weekend work where required) Desirable: Experience within the space sector or highly regulated environments Apprenticeship or formal mechanical engineering training Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and precision components If you’re ready to take your career to the next level, apply now or contact Zachary Pyne at Syntech Recruitment to discuss the role in more detail.
