A leading M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) partner in the UK, specialising in designing and installing building services and infrastructure solutions for commercial, defence, and government clients. Producing M&E packages of up to £40m.
Role Overview:
The Mechanical Project Manager will lead the Mechanical team in the delivery of a brand new £750m project with an MEP value of £200m spanning over 4 years. You will play a crucial role in overseeing mechanical installations from the design phase through to completion. Your responsibilities will include project planning, resource allocation, cost management, and ensuring timely delivery. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, including profit margins, preliminary costs, and procurement expenses.
2. Program Implementation: Create detailed project schedules and programs to enable accurate progress monitoring and reporting.
3. Resource Management: Secure and allocate the necessary resources to effectively and efficiently deliver the project.
4. Professional Delivery: Ensure successful project completion within specified constraints while maintaining a professional approach.
5. Quality Plan Development: Implement and oversee the creation of the Project Quality Plan and Trade Quality Plans.
6. Defect Rectification: Manage procedures for identifying and addressing defects.
7. Project Handover: Ensure a successful and seamless handover of the project, providing support to the customer or end user throughout the process.
