Permanent, Fulltime (Paying up to £58,255 + benefits)
Hybrid role, working 2-3 days per week from the client's Wallingford office
We are currently partnered with an international, intergovernmental, not-for-profit organization that improves people’s lives worldwide by solving problems in agriculture and the environment. The Programme Manager role involves developing work packages (as collections of individual projects), and ensuring delivery against them.
The role demands a strategic thinker and skilled communicator, able to manage relationships and lead without micromanaging. Experience working within teams is essential, as the person will navigate a matrix structure, balancing the needs of various teams while driving alignment. The candidate should be comfortable with both high-level planning and detailed execution, addressing issues like conflicting priorities and the tension between perfection and delivery.
The Programme Manager will also play a key role in setting up governance and quality assurance processes as the team grows, ensuring alignment and effective delivery as the programme scales.
The successful candidate must have hands-on experience navigating ambiguity, working across multiple time zones, and engaging with diverse stakeholders. You will also support strategic planning, helping develop and hold the team accountable to a five-year roadmap.
