Based on continuous growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Head of Training who will lead our training division and establish themselves as the go-to person nationally for all health and social care sector training opportunities.
We are seeking someone who can lead, develop and manage our team of experienced trainers who are delivering our bespoke healthcare compliance training events to our adult social care and primary care clients across the UK at events, seminars and occasionally one-to-one at our clients premises nationwide.
You will be an expert compliance training professional with extensive experience of delivering CQC framework compliance training, and Core & Mandatory training, to healthcare management teams on a small to medium scale.
You will be a highly successful Head of Training already and we’re looking for a high calibre individual who is tenacious about providing the best customer service and understands the industry's current challenges; a truly ambitious professional.
This role will ideally be based in our Manchester office but as national travel is required the home location can be flexible and discussed at interview stage.
Overview
Working alongside the wider HLTH Group management team, you will take responsibility for all HLTH Group internal and client training needs, and will lead the growth of the division. You will:
* Develop and maintain successful working relationships with clients
* Build, coordinate and mentor our team of experienced trainers ensuring our events are organised meticulously and our clients receive the best service possible.
* Partner with each client to provide a follow up service post training event to discuss how they will implement any changes and any additional support required.
* Promote the wider HLTH Group services where appropriate becoming an advocate for proactive, ongoing support for the client’s service.
* Embody and deliver our compliance training agenda presentations to clients nationally either onsite at their premises or at one of our event partner locations around the UK.
* Stay up to date with the new CQC framework releases understanding and implementing the changes into the training curriculum immediately.
* Deliver specific and individual statutory training modules such as Moving and Handling, Health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, Medication Management, as and when requested by our clients at their premises with additional follow-up support online.
* Constantly networking to build business information that can be converted into commercial opportunities for the Training team and the wider group.
What you will need
* Recent demonstrable experience in a Head of Training role, with a solid background of leading a training team, ideally including freelance trainers.
* Experience in the health and social care sector in a training management role.
* Target focused with a commercial mindset and a successful track record of delivering commercially viable training.
* Extensive experience of CQC framework compliance and how this relates to governance processes and structure of our client’s service.
* Knowledge of individual statutory training requirements relative for the majority of healthcare sectors (e.g. Residential Nursing Home, Private GP clinic, Dom Care service, etc) would be ideal.
* Experience as a compliance/governance trainer within the adult social care and primary care sectors within the UK.
* Articulate and professional with excellent organisational skills able to take responsibility for your own productivity and workload, as well as your teams productivity and workload.
· Confident communicator, able to quickly establish personal and professional credibility with colleagues and other key stakeholders.
* Experience of working with remote teams and various types of adult social care and primary care clients.
* Strong management skills and experience of leading teams: motivating, inspiring, encouraging, challenging, decisive.
