PE Global is seeking a highly skilled Performance Systems Integration/Simulation Engineer to join our manufacturing client based in Peterborough. This 12-month contract role offers a hybrid working arrangement and a competitive hourly rate range of £29.20 - £39.23.
This diverse role involves managing the interface between engine products and machine, providing opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute to various aspects of the process.
Key Responsibilities
* The Performance Systems Integration Engineer will focus on developing current and future products, working collaboratively with other talented Engineers to drive data-driven decisions, ensure product quality, and emissions compliance.
* The Performance Systems Integration (PSI) team is responsible for end-to-end performance system definition:
* Requirements
o System architecture, calibration requirements, and control system definition
o Detailed technical trade-offs and control system development through simulation and analytical tools
o Technical problem-solving and issue resolution
o Integration of products into customer applications
o Demonstration of product quality, emissions conformance, and product signoff
* The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in control/simulation, with a strong technical background and understanding of IC engines, performance simulation tools (0D/1D), and control systems.
* Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Office 365, and GT Power or Ricardo Wave is highly desirable, along with great data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
* An accredited Engineering/Science/Technology degree or higher is essential.
