We have an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Female Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team in Whitchurch, Shropshire. Our client is in her late teens and after suffering a road traffic accident in her infancy, she struggles with executive function, processing, memory, attention, fatigue & mood problems. Despite this, she is a very active young lady who loves horses.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will need to be comfortable with horses as well as know how to swim. The support worker will also need to have a full UK drivers license with access to their own vehicle. The key responsibilities include engaging with personalised routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, providing emotional support, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
Job responsibilities
Pay Rate: £15-16 per hour
Working Hours:
1 afternoon per week 2pm – 6pm
Alternate Saturdays 10am – 4pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Engaging with personalised routines.
* Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
* Collaborating with a range of healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Ability to deal with challenging behaviours.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.

Training & Background Checks:
