Amazon Marketplace is looking for an intellectually curious, self-driven, and innovative Senior Product Manager to lead Selling Fee initiatives to attract new Sellers and Selection to the Japan Marketplace.
This position requires an analytically-savvy candidate with the proven ability to engage with senior business stakeholders, think creatively and drive results in a fast-moving business.
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for defining and managing the Amazon marketplace Selling Fee structure across all product categories, identifying opportunities to accelerate our business through rate actions and ensuring past fee actions are delivering the intended results.
This role is highly strategic and will require the leader in this position to innovate, understand trade-off, exercise high judgment and ensure we make substantial contributions to the success of our business in Japan.
The ideal candidate operates with autonomy, thrives in ambiguous situations, and is able to earn trust and influence across a high level of seniority. The candidate possesses exceptional product management experience, a highly strategic mindset, and excellent business judgment. The candidate should also be able to collaborate with the technology teams to manage and define technology roadmaps and participate in product development. This role requires superior communication skills to effectively work with key stakeholders including Category and Product Leaders in JP, WW Product and Tech teams, marketing, legal, and account management teams.
Key job responsibilities
1. Build long-term fee strategies for all marketplace categories and products. Define KPI to measure program success.
2. Manage existing fee programs. Identify optimal investment allocation to derive maximum value for Customers and Sellers.
3. Identify new investment opportunities.
4. Support the launch of new products by identifying and building fee structures that maximize long-term value.
5. Influence global technology roadmaps and collaborate with global product teams to ensure implementation of programs.
6. Work closely with category teams and product teams, identify Seller business specific requirements, and get alignment with corporate priority and strategies of each product owner.
7. Evangelize best practice of Seller Growth initiatives with worldwide counterparts.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
* Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
* Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
* Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
* Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
* Experience with end to end product delivery
* Fluent in English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in using statistical analysis to identify issues or opportunities for improvement
* Fluent in SQL
