Penguin Random House is also proud to be the home of BBC Audio. We publish a wide range of entertainment drawn from recent radio programming and the BBC archive. Comedy titles include I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue, Cabin Pressure and That Mitchell & Webb Sound. The realms of fantasy are depicted in Doctor Who, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. There’s radio drama based on the works of some of our most popular and significant writers including Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle, TV soundtracks including Blackadder and Fawlty Towers and cultural epics such as A History of the World in 100 Objects.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Campaigns Executive who is eager to join an award-winning team in the fastest-growing segment of publishing. You’ll have experience developing inspiring and highly effective marketing campaigns that deliver results. With a love of all things audio, you’ll be brimming with ideas to reach new and existing listeners.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Planning, implementing, and analysing standout audio marketing and publicity campaigns.
2. Generating ideas to promote the audio format across varied audiences and genres, including: dramatisations, non-fiction and literary fiction.
3. Leading on BBC Audio and Doctor Who audio campaigns, working collaboratively with BBC Studios on planning and execution.
4. Working collaboratively with the BBC Editorial and PRH Audio teams to identify key titles which require marketing and publicity support.
5. Liaising with Penguin Random House marketing teams to build multi-format campaigns.
6. Developing content with authors and narrators in the recording studio, where possible.
7. Briefing media agencies, monitoring results, and reporting post campaign.
8. Encouraging authors and narrators to champion the audio format.
9. Identifying opportunities to promote the audio through PR and influencers.
What you’ll bring
We’ll need you to have:
10. Experience of running your own campaigns, bringing bags of enthusiasm and ideas to each one, using your initiative to make the most of your budget, however big or small.
11. Confidence in your approach and ability to represent the Audio team in inter-departmental meetings.
12. Experience working with talent or creators to develop best-in-class content.
13. Excellent organisational, attention to detail and prioritisation skills, juggling multiple projects and campaigns at once.
14. Excellent written communication
It goes without saying you’ll have a passion for audio, but you certainly don’t need to have worked in audiobooks or publishing before. Whoever you are, we want someone ready for an exciting new challenge.

Salary: Circa £30,000 depending on how your skills and experience align with the role, plus bonus and benefits.
