Your Role:
As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll take on a vital role within our finance team, ensuring accurate and efficient financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Payroll Management: Preparing and processing monthly payroll files with essential UK payroll experience
Month-End Support: Processing payroll journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
Expense Management: Handling staff credit cards and cash expenses
VAT & Compliance: Supporting quarterly VAT computations and completing P11D statements
Accounts Payable: Assisting with purchase ledger duties and supplier payment runs
Audit & Reporting: Assisting with year-end audits and financial reporting
Ad Hoc Projects: Working closely with the Finance Manager on various projects
What We’re Looking For:
UK Payroll Experience is Essential
Actively studying ACCA/CIMA/AAT (part-qualified)
Strong Excel skills and keen attention to detail
Experience in a fast-paced SME environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
SAP Business One or similar ERP system experience (Essential)
A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a passion for learning
