We seek a dynamic and experienced Head of Sport to lead and enhance our sports program at Dove Green Private School in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive PE & and sports strategy, fostering a culture of excellence, high performance, resilience and respect and overseeing the growth and success of our students in all PE sporting qualifications and disciplines.

Objectives of this Role:
Strategic Leadership:
· Develop and execute a strategic vision for the school's sports and physical education programs in alignment with the overall educational objectives.
· Collaborate with school leadership to integrate sports initiatives into the broader curriculum.
Curriculum Development:
· Design, implement, and manage a diverse and inclusive sports program and physical education curriculum catering to the interests and abilities of students.
· Coordinate with teachers and external coaches to ensure the delivery of high-quality coaching in various sports, fostering skill development and a passion for physical activity.
Facilities Management:
· Oversee the maintenance and utilisation of sports facilities, ensuring they meet safety standards and are optimised for various sporting activities.
· Collaborate with relevant departments to schedule and organise the PE timetable, sporting events, competitions, and tournaments.
Student Engagement and Participation:
· Promote sports as a means of character development, teamwork, and leadership.
· Encourage maximum student participation in sports activities, interhouse, and inter-school competitions.
DASSA & BSME Sports Events:
· Actively participate in & BSME Sports Events, coordinating team entries, schedules, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
· Foster positive relationships with other schools and sports organizations involved in DASSA leagues and BSME events.
Compliance and Safety:
· Ensure compliance with relevant sports regulations, health and safety standards, and safeguarding protocols.
· Conduct regular risk assessments and implement measures to minimise potential hazards in sports activities.
In addition, focus on:
Community Engagement:
· Develop partnerships with local sports organizations and clubs to enhance opportunities for student engagement and competition.
· Organise sports events that involve the wider school community, fostering a sense of school spirit and pride.
Talent Identification and Development:
· Identify and nurture talented athletes, providing opportunities for specialised training and participation in regional and international competitions.
· Implement programs that encourage the overall physical development of students, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or PGCE in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
· Recognised coaching qualifications and relevant certifications.
· Proven experience in a leadership role within a school sports program.
· Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Familiarity with the UK educational system and experience with DASSA sports leagues is advantageous.
