Job Title: FX Software Development Manager
Location: London some European Travel may be required.
Job Type: 12-month Contract Hybrid work set-up
Job Summary: The EFX Development Manager will lead the design, creation, and execution of eFX Trading applications. This role entails collaboration across teams to ensure the successful integration of EFX while overseeing project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and modernisation of a Front Office E-Trading platform.
* Manage a team of Java Software engineers, providing guidance and support throughout project cycles.
* Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.
* Ensure that the EFX platform meets performance and quality standards while adhering to budgets and timelines.
* Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in electronic effects.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as required
* Work with business users and stakeholders
* Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Experience required:
* Proficiency in Java-related software tools and hardware.
* Technical proficiency in Java, with experience in application development and integration of FX and market venues.
* Demonstrated experience in migrating applications from a monolithic architecture to a microservices or cloud-based architecture.
* Strong understanding of cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their tools/services related to Software development.
* Experience in architectural design patterns and best practices for cloud scalability, resilience, and security.
* Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
