We are looking for an exceptional leader to join our site leadership team,to inspire and lead our Pharmacy dispensary and ward technical Services on our Aintree University Hospital site.
This role is ideally suited to candidates who want to extend their experience at a senior management level in a progressive environment.
The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills, the desire to network and collaborate, together with the ability to inspire a team towards continuous improvement.
You will be a role model and have the desire toutilise and develop practice to improve pharmacy services. You will lead, develop, deliver, and evaluate the provision of pharmacy services provided at the Aintree University Hospital Site and enhance the reputation of the department to deliver the right medicine at the right time for all our patients.
You will co-ordinate the technical operations at the Aintree Pharmacy site and deputise for the Site Director of Pharmacy.
You will manage Technical Service Leads in Dispensary and Ward based services. You will plan for and resolve issues with multiple competing priorities to support patient flow and ensure care in a busy acute hospital site.
You will develop and implement local policy and procedures to ensure that we adhere to relevant professional, ethical, legal and local standards.
You will take overall responsibility for monitoring pharmacy performance. This will include identification, reporting, implementation and monitoring relevant KPIs.
You will manage pay and non-pay budgets.
You will lead on relevant projects, to manage the implementation of change and deliver the pharmacy operational services from planning to implementation, business cases and bid for funding.
You will lead on Health and Safety including staff engagement and wellbeing within the Pharmacy Department.

The post holder is the most senior Pharmacy Technician on our complex and busy acute site at Aintree University Hospitals and will take the strategic lead for ward and dispensary technical services at each site.
As part of the Site Leadership Team, the post holder will work closely with the Lead Divisional Pharmacists and other Pharmacy Managers to deliver Trust wide objectives and service developments.
They will take responsibility for all technical aspects of Pharmacy Operations which will involve providing timely and effective management support, ensuring that services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standards.
The post holder will work alongside other members of the Senior Pharmacy Leadership Team to manage the day to day running of the operational pharmacy services on site and ensure our sites are managed constantly through standard work.
They will line manage the Technical Services Managers for both the Dispensary and Ward based Medicines Management Services and be responsible for site operational management. They will extend the roles of technical staff and ensure staff have the necessary training and competence to deliver the extended roles.
They will be responsible to the Site Director of Pharmacy for the delivery of operational activity and performance objectives.
