Introduction
Transport and Connectivity have a substantial Capital Programme made up of many different projects which help deliver growth in the city and encourage outside investment. These are collectively known as the Transportation and Highways Delivery Programme, which is a rolling programme of capital and revenue investment in the city's transport networks and systems.
Transport Projects has a small team of in-house technical specialists leading on the delivery of these projects, supplemented by our supply chain.
There is a requirement for a Project Manager to join the team on a full time based (40-hours per week) to lead the design and delivery of the Kings Heath & Moseley Places for People (phase 2) project that sits within the Neighbourhoods portfolio of Transport Projects. This Active Travel project is developing further measures to encourage and support active travel within the local area.
The first phase of these works introduced a range of active travel measures predominantly to the western side of Kings Heath. The second phase of the project will look to bring further active travel enhancements to the wider area.
Role and Duties
Lead the design and development of the Kings Heath & Moseley Places for People (phase 2) project.
The successful candidate will be expected to work mainly unsupervised, with guidance from the Neighbourhoods Programme Manager and Head of Transport Projects (Neighbourhoods).
