We are currently seeking a Financial Advisor to join the team in our Ipswich, MA location. The primary responsibilities are to appropriately sell financial products in a bank environment. The expectation of meeting production goals is a priority and will be reviewed on a monthly basis. The position requires a person who is highly motivated and sales driven. He/she should be service oriented and able to work well with branch and bank customers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Be able to communicate investment concepts
2. Sells and cross-sells investment and insurance products and services to new and existing customers
3. Maintain high standards of customer service
4. Develop and maintain active working relationships with branch personnel
5. Meet or exceed sales goals
6. Attend branch and sales meetings, at least monthly
7. Conduct training of assigned branch employees, at least semi-annually
8. Submit detailed daily activity/production reports
9. Ensure all trades are placed timely and accurately, communicated to the customer and the corresponding paperwork is forwarded to the trade desk within 24 hours
Job Specifications
1. Bachelor’s degree and/or five years related business experience
2. FINRA Licenses 65/66, 7, 63 Series
3. State Life Insurance License
4. Minimum five years sales experience
5. Banking experience preferred
6. Customer service orientation
7. Strong time management skills
8. Able to learn complicated financial concepts quickly and communicate those concepts to multiple audiences
9. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
