Ob Overview The role includes being the first point of contact for information governance dealing efficiently and effectively with internal and external enquiries and providing administrative support to the Information Governance Team. Duties To act as a first point of contact for information governance team. Manage and organise schedules, appointments, and meetings. Develop and maintain accurate and effective case management systems relating to information and data access requests. Handle phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary. Assist in clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents. Provide project support that enables the successful delivery of the council’s information strategy. Understanding of relevant information governance legislation Good communication, organisational and IT skills with an ability to work as part of a team and independently. Requirements Proven experience in an administrative or assistant role is preferred. An understanding of relevant information governance legislation including Freedom of Information, Data Protection Act, Environmental Information Regulations. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both written and verbal. Familiarity with data entry processes and attention to detail is essential. Ability to communicate effectively, deliver verbal and written communications Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
