Description
As a PMO Analyst, you will support the Project Management Office (PMO) by providing essential project management support, particularly in resource planning. Your responsibilities will include tracking project progress, managing resources, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to optimise resource allocation and support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Resource Planning and Management:
* Develop and maintain resource plans, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across projects
Project Scheduling:
* Assist in creating and maintaining project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines
Performance Tracking:
* Monitor project performance, analysing data to ensure successful completion of short- and long-term goals
Internal Stakeholder Communication:
* Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status, resource allocation, and any adjustments
Documentation and Reporting:
* Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and resource utilisation records
Financial Analysis:
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking for projects, ensuring cost-effective resource utilisation
Process Improvement:
* Identify opportunities for improving resource planning processes and implement best practices
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Required:
* Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
* Expertise in resource allocation and management, with the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities
* Ability to analyse data and generate insights to support decision-making
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) and other relevant tools
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues
* Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in resource planning and project documentation
* Proactive: Proactively identify and address potential challenges, ensuring smooth project execution
