Job Description
About the team:
In Colleague Success, we're passionate about making every day easier for colleagues across Lloyds Banking Group. The team currently brings together a very broad range of skills and specialisms covering Recruitment Operations, Colleague Policy & Vetting, Employee Relations, Learning Operations, Payroll Operations & Delivery, and the delivery, change and run of the technology supporting our People function, including generative AI and automation. Within the function, we have a small but mighty business design and operating model transformation team that packs a punch in driving the evolution of the way in which we deliver People Services and Technology change.
Over the past year we’ve led the way in defining the strategy, operating model change and subsequent OD delivery of some really significant transformation programmes, including Platform 2.0, Platform 3.0, and a wide range of P&P changes. We’re now focusing on leaning into to enable the optimisation of our broad operational process landscape to drive an even better experience for our colleagues.
It’s a dynamic, fun and supportive environment to be a part of, with a critical part to play in supporting our Group-wide People transformation, and we’re looking for a Senior Manager to join the crew.
About the role:
The Senior Manager will work directly with the CS Business Design and Operating Model Lead and Process Optimisation programme lead to drive forwards the delivery of our process optimisation agenda, specifically ensuring that our optimisation strategy is delivered and subsequent benefits are released through technology enablement.
The role will be varied, no two days will be the same, and you’ll be concurrently delivering across a range of responsibilities including:
* Supporting the facilitation of optimisation sessions to apply lean and other best practice methodology to simplify the design of our operational processes.
* Continue to drive the roll out of the Prosper AI tool to continue to land this successfully within the organisation and use as a tool to enable wider process optimisation across our teams.
* Effectively collaborating with stakeholders across the People platform to ensure that the enablement of optimisation work is prioritised on the appropriate backlogs, prioritisation clashes are negotiated effectively and changes are effectively executed.
* Monitoring the progress of the delivery of technology enablement, including working to mitigate risks and unblock issues as well as driving alignment to our overall transformation plan.
* Leading on the definition and execution of the communications and engagement plan to share successes of the optimisation work both within P&P and more broadly, to ignite a mindset shift across our broader colleague base.
* Building strong rapport with senior CS and P&P stakeholders (up to and including ExCo) and influence to gain buy in and support across proposed optimisation changes.
* Supporting ongoing and effective interlock between the People platform, People services function and wider P&P teams as we progress through our transformation roadmap.
Key Skills Required
And you’ll possess the following super strengths:
* It’s absolutely essential that you can thrive in working in an ambiguous and fast changing environment where the immediate answer or path forwards isn’t always clear.
* Proficiency in analysing complex HR processes, identifying inefficiencies, and developing data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* A solid understanding of technology and its application in process optimisation, including familiarity with relevant tools and software.
* A commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and refining processes to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance overall cost-effectiveness.
* A methodology that combines lean principles with Six Sigma tools to improve process quality and reduce variability. This involves using data-driven approaches to identify and eliminate defects.
* Demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills, be able to think critically and breakdown process complexity into logical structure, whilst understanding the strategic big picture.
* Be confident and effective in challenging approaches and ideas, whilst enabling diverse groups of colleagues reach a consensus on collective priorities or complex issues at pace.
* Be confident and adept in analysing large, sometimes disparate data sets to help focus on identifying the right problems to solve and/or drawing out conclusions or recommendations.
* Experience working in an HR transformation environment is a positive, but not essential, however we’d expect you have an interest and perspective on the role of the People function and associated HR technology in driving enterprise-wide transformation.
We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
* A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
* An annual performance-related bonus
* Share schemes including free shares
* Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
* 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
* A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
