We are looking for a Biomedical Support Worker to join a busy Microbiology laboratory at one of the South coast's leading tertiary hospitals. We're looking for someone who:

Job responsibilities
* Work throughout all sections of the department on a rotational basis.
* Work a mixture of day and late shifts, as well as weekends and bank holidays.
* Be responsible for the reception/data entry and processing of clinical specimens, which may include a range of swabs, body fluids, and blood samples.
* Be involved in setting up a range of routine automated and manual laboratory tests.
* Assist with the quality management of the laboratory (for example, quality control procedures and audit as required).

Qualifications / training required
* 5 GCSEs at A-C level or equivalent.
* NVQ level 3 education or equivalent level of experience.
Previous or relevant experience necessary
* Working knowledge and competency in laboratory bench areas.
