This is a permanent role as a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator at Avery Healthcare, a leading provider of luxury elderly care homes in the UK. The role involves planning and delivering a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the residents' physical, psychological, and social well-being.
Main duties of the job
As the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing a varied program of activities that promote the residents' privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights, and fulfillment. This includes identifying the life history and preferences of residents, planning monthly activity and wellbeing plans, arranging events and outings, and maintaining a safe and professional environment.
Job responsibilities
Other responsibilities will include:
* Identifying the life history, needs, and preferences of residents by listening to them and their families to support the development of a detailed life story.
* Planning and submitting to the Home Manager a monthly activity and wellbeing plan and a weekly overview.
* Arranging activities, events, and outings, encouraging the involvement of staff, relatives, and visitors.
* Maintaining a safe living and working environment, contributing to the positive and professional image of the home.
