Role Overview
The role is for a Finance Manager - offering an excellent all-round finance opportunity, with varied responsibilities. There will be significant scope for progression, including both lateral and vertical career opportunities during your tenure in this business.
Reporting and Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
1. Driving continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
2. Preparing and posting monthly accruals and prepayments.
3. Completing month-end processes for multiple companies of varying sizes.
4. Budgeting and forecasting.
5. Preparing weekly cash flow reports, analyzing previous weeks, and forecasting ahead.
6. Consolidating cash flows of all companies within the Group.
7. Leading analysis of monthly figures and presenting findings to the board.
8. Managing the end-to-end audit process.
9. Managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
10. Handling payroll, VAT, and HMRC processes.
11. Managing monthly and annual procedures for multiple companies.
12. Reviewing weekly payment runs and ensuring creditors are paid within terms.
13. Monitoring debtors and ensuring receipts are received within terms.
14. Managing an Accounts Assistant.
15. Monitoring stock levels in a manufacturing environment and reporting at month-end.
16. Preparing annual statutory accounts.
17. Completing ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.
18. Monitoring and managing multiple bank accounts.
Candidate Requirements
Ideally, candidates will demonstrate:
1. ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualification with strong experience in finance.
2. Strong Excel skills.
3. Ability to adapt and handle projects on an ad hoc basis.
