An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the 0-19 Service at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Team Leader.

You will be a key member of the 0-19 Service, which provides Community Public Health delivery through the Healthy Child Programme and Public Health Promotion. The post is within the Fantastic & Diverse Arbourthone/Manor/Darnall Locality Team, which effectively supports the delivery of the above to ensure that the children and young people in Sheffield reach their full potential.
The Team Leader will:
1. Demonstrate leadership skills and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively in partnership with the team, other professionals, and agencies.
2. Demonstrate skills in delivering effective clinical decision-making in complex scenarios and make decisions when there are conflicts and tensions.
3. Be able to work under pressure, manage workload and meet deadlines, have prioritization skills, and maintain a positive attitude and solution-focused approach to the delivery of the role.
Main duties of the job
The Team Leader will be responsible for:
1. Managing and coordinating the 0-19 Public Health locality team, which includes Health Visitors and a wider skill mix team.
2. Providing clinical supervision and support, leadership, and professional direction to a Public Health locality team.
3. Coordinating and utilizing health needs assessment, profiling tools, and leadership skills to direct resources to meet the needs of the most vulnerable children and young people and families within the locality area.
4. Enabling children and young people and families to reach their full potential through education, families, and community work and working with the broader health team to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
5. Working in partnership with other agencies, projects, groups, and the broader health team to support those children, young people, and families with complex long-term health needs and safeguarding concerns.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with NMC as a Community Specialist Public Health Nurse (School Nursing or Health Visiting)
* Post Graduate qualification at master's level or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a combination of in-depth experience, postgraduate or post-registration study, research, and/or courses
* Nurse Prescribing
Experience
* Significant and recent post-registration experience, with a considerable portion as a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (School Nurse or Health Visitor).
* Significant experience of working with children, young people, and families, safeguarding, and vulnerable groups.
* Experience managing changes to service delivery and service improvement.
* Experience managing complaints and/or difficult/challenging situations.
* Experience contributing to training and professional development.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of different community groups and an understanding of various cultures.
* Experience of leadership skills within a locality team.
* Evidence of expert professional knowledge within the 0-19 field and complex issues involved when working across organizations and disciplines.
* Knowledge of current national policies and strategies, including safeguarding relating to the health of children and young people and their families.
* Enhanced communication skills; speaking another language (for example, Urdu/Arabic/Punjabi or other) is desirable.
Personal Attributes
