We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and highly professional individual who would like to be part of Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Adviser Service in the East Riding of Yorkshire About the role Location : Community based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, with homeworking elements. Contract : This is a 35 hour post working 9-5 Monday to Friday each week. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive local team who work across the East Riding. You will also have the support of the wider area team and there are plans for the role to work across the whole area and so the ability to travel across the geographical area is a requirement of this post. You will lead discussion groups with people affected by dementia and their carers. You must be willing to provide support from a variety of settings to support accessible service delivery. There will be a mix of face to face meetings, telephone support and work within local communities alongside opportunities to meet with your team, and update your dementia knowledge. You will be supported to do your role by your Manager and Team and there will be lots of opportunities for training and updating. You will: Work 35 hours per week over five days Be supporting people with dementia and their carers in the East Riding and the wider area Be part of the local East Riding team About you You will have an awareness of dementia and of the impact it can make on people’s lives. You will be compassionate and determined to make a difference. You will have some computer skills as we record information on our computerised record systems, and you will be able to manage your own caseload. We need you to be organised and a team player.
