We are looking for a highly skilled and professional Senior Project Manager to lead our dynamic Projects delivery team across our two BAE customer sites in Preston. Reporting to our Head of Projects North, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Project and Assistant Project Managers, delivering multiple projects for our BAE customer. As a Senior Project Manager at Mitie, you will be expected to lead your team and projects with ownership, ensuring excellence in execution, client satisfaction, and adherence to financial and health and safety standards. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of key activities. You will plan, execute, and deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget, managing all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, you will ensure their needs are understood and their expectations met and exceeded. As a leader, you will motivate project teams, fostering clear communication, effective collaboration, and high performance. You will also implement and maintain high standards of quality in project delivery, adhering to industry best practices. Risk management will be a critical aspect of your role, requiring you to identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proactive problem-solving and decision-making. You will oversee project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation, ensuring that projects are financially viable and cost-effective. Compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM), will be essential, and you will promote a culture of safety and well-being on all projects. Additionally, you will provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, maintaining transparency and accountability, and ensure meticulous project documentation, handling all administrative aspects with precision. About You The ideal candidate will hold a professional certification such as APM, RICS, CIOB, or a similar qualification. You will have proven experience in a multi-project environment, managing multiple clients and delivering high-quality projects. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive teams towards excellence are essential. Your expertise in project administration will be matched by a keen eye for detail and accuracy. A strong understanding of project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, is required. You will also possess in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly CDM regulations, with a proven track record of promoting and ensuring workplace safety. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, are crucial for navigating complex project challenges effectively.
