Here at the Mick George Group, we are hiring a Quantity Surveyor. Job Overview: To manage tendering of projects, maximising the tendered margin whilst looking at potential value engineering and successfully winning projects. Responsibilities: - To actively tender projects that are received by the business. - To be aware of contractual terms and potential risks to the business. - To review all information received to understand the scope of works to be tendered. - To submit tenders on time to the clients' requirements. - To accurately measure relevant works to derive/ validate quantities for pricing purposes. - To build up tender rates from first principles on a labour, plant and a material basis. - To consider potential value engineering opportunities to offer to potential clients. - To obtain market rates for subcontracted works. - To respond to clients queries in a timely manner. - To understand programme and buildabilty constraints within a tender. - To be responsible for the handover meeting of secured work by passing information to the delivery team. - To maintain client relationships. - To seek opportunities for new and continued work. - To provide support and advice to less experienced members of the team. - Always conduct in a professional manner as an ambassador of the Mick George Group.
