Reporting to the Post Room Manager, the successful candidate will assist with the receipt and distribution of all incoming and outgoing goods in a timely manner and also the close management of the samples used for analysis. To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE Responsibilities Ensuring at all times that a high degree of accuracy and precision is applied to s ample storage procedures. Responsible for ensuring that work throughput is followed by documented procedures. It is the post holder’s responsibility to inform the Post Room Manager of any failure in compliance with documented procedures. Ensuring that all equipment that the Post Holder uses regularly is kept clean and tidy at all times. In cases where equipment is found to be working unsatisfactorily, it is the post holder’s responsibility to inform the Post Room Manager (or Supervisor) so that repair or maintenance can be organised. Ensuring that the Post Holder’s workstation is kept clean and tidy. Assisting the Post Room Manager in setting out and implementing suitable training programmes that will ensure that the post holder is sufficiently well trained to carry out duties accurately and efficiently. Undertaking other duties of an appropriate nature in consultation with the Post Room Manager and Operations Manager. Maintaining a professional standard and appearance during office hours and while promoting the company when on company business. Ensuring the Company’s Health & Safety policy is applied effectively in areas under the Post Holder’s control. The successful candidate will be trained to use a fork-lift truck and also a cherry p icker which will be used at varying heights. Required Knowledge and Work Experience A full UK driving licence. Ability to demonstrate literacy and numeracy. High attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions. A team player, working alongside others with positivity and respect. Presenting a positive attitude and take pride in their work. High level of interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimum supervision and be able to use own initiative. A willingness to take full ownership of the role. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of manual dexterity. Good timekeeping. Effective interpersonal skills. Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:30 to 17:00.
