This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in delivering risk management in flooding and coastal erosion on the North West Coast. You will be responsible for development, delivery, and site project management of capital works, delivering a major part of the country's response to climate change and coastal adaptation, including being actively involved in shaping future policy on the coast.
We are looking for a skilled and energetic professional who is a champion for climate change.
You will work with a range of partners in local authorities, local NGOs, academia, and consultancy.
You should have experience of:
* Supervising Civil Engineering construction works
* Managing major projects and of managing, motivating and developing internal staff and external service providers.
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to remain flexible through periods of change.
* Experience of co-ordinating external partnership delivery and stakeholder engagement.
We are looking for someone with:
* The ability to identify and resolve on-site construction issues.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to prepare strategies and business cases.
* Drive, resilience, and the commitment to get things done.
