This role demands a specialist individual to work within the UK Finance team, who is able to assist with coordinating the administration of key finance systems, as well as the management of client money and compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules. Our Team Our Finance team in Leeds is a large team providing centralised support for all the UK offices and take pride in providing a world class service to the firm's internal and external clients. Our Opportunity Based in Leeds and reporting to the Director of Global Billing Operations, the individual will be involved in protection of client money, FSC policies and procedures, and system administration. The role will involve regular travel to other UK office locations, working with lawyers, secretaries and support staff as required. You will be responsible for line management of the residual client account balances team. You will lead on all tasks related to the SRA Accounts Rules, including ensuring prompt resolution of residual client account balances, following up on breaches of the Account Rules, establish and implement a programme of training to lawyers and staff to support compliance, be the primary point of contact for the annual Accounts Rules compliance audit, undertake control risk assessments of key internal processes as well as make recommendations for improvements to the management of residual balances. Additionally, the FSC Compliance Coordinator will act as a guardian over FSC related policies and procedures. You will maintain all FSC policies and procedures on the internal intranet as well as prepare timely reports to summarise findings of internal audit reviews, recommendations and actions agreed. You will produce monthly reports of FSC processing volumes on key areas of activity. You will be responsible for the administration of multiple online banking platforms, supporting the addition, maintenance and removal of users, and liaising with banks as required. Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm You You will be AAT or ILFM qualified (or other relevant professional qualification) or willing to work towards qualification. You will have working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules and a minimum of two years in a compliance focused role. You will have experience of managing a team and intermediate Excel knowledge. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Further, you will have excellent listening skills and an ability to work with a considerable amount of detailed information. It is integral that you have the drive to focus clearly on several interrelated tasks and ensure that all deadlines are met as well as the competence to manage projects involving people at all levels and with different aims. The FSC Compliance Coordinator will have an ability to work in a changing environment, learn new concepts and apply information to current circumstances to ensure audit measurements are accurate, consistent and reliable.
